Thought I’d get personal and share my favorite backyard view. Despite the heat and mosquitoes, I spend countless hours tending my pot garden. This week as I worked, I pondered just how I managed to stay the course with my writing. After 41/2 years (for the first 3, I was despondent and discouraged), I finally hit the jackpot. I’ll give a talk on my book tour about resilience–how God helped me to cultivate it. Despite a lifetime of insecurities stemming from ADD and a math disability, He helped me to stay the course. My book states what seems hokey even to my ear: “My self-esteem has been irrevocably nailed to the cross.”
